My camera allows me the wonderful close ups, to see the detail in the small things.

Strut Your Stuff

This may not be the best picture of a Kiskadee, showing off, with bright yellow head feathers extended, but I was pleased to snap the shot even so.

Look who my friend and I saw while birding at the Bentson State Park in TX.  The lesson to be learned is to stop and look a while, most birds are difficult to spot in the wild.

My Wish

My visit to the La Copita Ranch, Alice TX.

 

There were many birds to get photos of and other interesting plants and trees.

A cool morning turning into a warm day.  After several hours visit,

I can say, with some certainty, that I would not wish to live here.

Drifts of 'S'

Even here on South Padra Island there are drifts this time of year.  

Making driving a little difficult, thank goodness the wind was moderate the day we were there.

We came to look at birds and we were not disappointed.

Roses from My Friend

Here is the rose in my friends garden, a picture or two and my friend said......

"Take them home and enjoy them while they bloom"

So I did take them home and took this still life photo.   Thank you my friend.

High Above

Moss covered trees, different then what I see at home.

I watched many of these hawks fly far above in the clear blue sky.
