This beauty sat very still while I took several pictures, what a treat.

Bee Hind

The butterflies are coming to the flowering shrub we planted and I could not be more pleased.

I didn't intend to catch this bee, close behind the butterfly, when I snapped the photo but I'm pleased with the shot.

Dressed for the Season

This beautiful Hibiscus, in white with touch of red, is coloured so perfectly for the season.

Man in the Moon

It was only since I started taking pictures of the Moon that I could clearly see it's face, funny how long it take sometimes to see things, for me it was 50 some years!

O is for Orange

This is one of the many birds I saw at the Bentson Park, the Altamira Oriole and a true Orange fellow he is.

Shades of Grey

Who says grey is not beautiful, this little butterfly (moth?)would think otherwise and I would have to agree.

Colour me Bright

It's not hard to see why the Butterflies are attracted to these flowers.

I'm sure they are getting their fill.

Almost the Same

There is a bird very much like this one in a photo I took back home, the one here in TX doesn't seem to be as cooperative as this fellow was.  I will keep trying.

Pyrrhuloxia

Now that's a mouthful.  Large cardinal-like finch.  Eats insects, larvae,seeds fruits and berries.

On the day I took these pictures he was eating leaves, or maybe licking the larvae off the leaves?

More about the Point

Almost Snow

My intent was to take a photo of this little green bug on the curtain and once I did I then removed the bug as the curtains looked so lovely, the light from the window enhanced the folds.

Looking a little like snow.
